Adirondackers - Living in the Past
These are portraits I did from old family photos of my relatives from the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. They were hard-working miners and farmers, most of whom were decendants of American Revolutionary War Pensioners.

Catherine Sterling was adopted out to Great Great Grandma Swinton because her family could not afford to take care of her. She went on to marry a good and kind man.
